The School Tournament, organized under the Tongtsen Cup banner, is an Under-15 boys and girls football tournament that represents a major milestone in TNSA's grassroots football development program. The tournament is aimed at identifying and nurturing young talent from Tibetan schools.
The inaugural Tongtsen Cup was held at Upper TCV football ground, featuring multiple days of group stage matches followed by semi-finals and finals. In the boys' category, STS Dholanji claimed the championship title with TCV Gopalpur finishing as runners-up. The girls' category saw TCV Suja emerge as champions.
All matches are broadcast live on the TNSA Dharamsala YouTube channel, giving young athletes a professional experience and wider visibility. The tournament also features educational workshops, including a Women Empowerment workshop organized for participants.
The Tongtsen Cup is part of TNSA's long-term strategy to build a pipeline of talent for Tibetan football from the grassroots level, providing school-age athletes with a competitive platform to develop their skills and sportsmanship.
