The first edition of the Tongtsen Cup, an Under-15 boys and girls football tournament, kicked off at Upper TCV football ground, marking a major milestone in TNSA's grassroots football development program.
In the boys' category, STS Dholanji claimed the championship title, with TCV Gopalpur finishing as runners-up after a competitive final. The girls' category saw TCV Suja emerge as champions, defeating TCV Gopalpur in the final.
The tournament featured multiple days of group stage matches followed by semi-finals and finals, with all matches broadcast live on the TNSA Dharamsala YouTube channel. A Women Empowerment workshop was also organized for participants by the Women Empowerment Desk.
Chief Guest Mr. Jampa Phuntsok, Secretary of the Department of Health at the CTA, graced the event alongside other dignitaries. The Tongtsen Cup represents TNSA's commitment to developing young Tibetan athletes from the grassroots level.
